Will Smith Apologizes Following Altercation With Chris Rock At The Oscars

The Shade Room notes: ‘If there’s one thing #WillSmith doesn’t play about, it’s his wife and he made that clear tonight at the #Oscars. #ChrisRock made a joke about #JadaPinkettSmith starring in a remake of the ‘G.I. Jane’ due to her bald haircut, and Will clearly was not feeling it. Not only did he get physical with Chris, he let him know he better keep his wife’s name out of his mouth!’

A fan said: ‘The joke was extremely inappropriate because she is dealing with alopecia, and although I understand his defense of his wife, the reaction could’ve been handled a different way. Will is up for the biggest award of the night that he deserves, and if he wins, the discussion will not be the historic deserving win for him. It will be that he punched Chris Rock. Sad all around. Air left the room. National live television stalled to accommodate curse words flying. I wish it wouldn’t have happened this way.’
