Capital flows to emerging markets (EM) have witnessed a clear rebound in the first quarter of 2019, after taking a hit in 2018 as global financial conditions tightened and the US dollar appreciated.Â
Qatar National Bank (QNB) in its weekly report said it expects portfolio capital flows to EM to be higher in 2019 than 2018 as the US Federal reserve has shifted to a neutral stance and investors become less risk averse.
