Lou Williams enjoys strip clubs and their, ahem, fine cuisine like any other person but in the middle of a pandemic, the streaky shooter made an incredible gaffe. It’s since come out that Williams hit Atlanta’s Magic City after leaving for a reported family emergency, which apparently involved jiggling booties and hanging with buzzing rappers.

Williams, currently playing for the Los Angeles Clippers, was the subject of a probe by NBA officials after images of him hanging out with rapper Jack Harlow at the famed adult entertainment establishment surfaced online. ESPN reports that Williams, 33, was granted an excused absence from the Orlando NBA bubble to handle the personal matter but Harlow, blowing up Lou Will’s spot, posted a photo of the guard in one of the NBA masks given to players and residents of the bubble.

Harlow tried to bail Williams out of trouble by saying the image is old but it’s since come out that Williams has admitted to visiting the allegedly empty nightclub and he confirmed that visit via Twitter writing, “Ask any of my teammates what’s my favorite restaurant in Atlanta is. Ain’t nobody partying. Chill out lol. #Maskon #inandout.”

Coach Doc Rivers of the Clippers briefly addressed Williams’ boneheaded move and some internal discussions will certainly be had once the smoke blows over.

“I can’t share much with his journey. I wasn’t on that journey with him,” Rivers said ahead of scrimmage this evening (July 25). “But he’s back here, I can tell you that much. You know, obviously, those [pictures] got out, and that’s something that we obviously didn’t enjoy seeing or like.”

On Twitter, Lou Williams is getting all the slander one can expect after making such a spectacular error in judgment as the NBA season is set to be back on in just five days. We get it, Magic City has some exceptional, um, eats.

Congrats to Russell Wilson and Ciara!

The Wilson’s welcomed their second child together and Cici’s third child overall on Thursday (July 23). The newborn baby boy’s name? Win Harrison Wilson.

“Happy birthday WIN!!!,” Russell shared on Twitter. “Mommy & Daddy Love You! Win Harrison Wilson 7.23.2020. 8lbs 1 oz.”

Win is now the younger brother of Ciara and Russell’s daughter Sienna (born April 2017) and Future Zahir (born in May 2014). Ciara and Russell made the latest pregnancy a quarantine affair as they styled not only photoshoots around Cici’s baby bump but also being a loving family. Plus when the cameras started rolling – Cici was masked up with baby Win in the delivery room!

Congrats to the family.

Mike Tyson is reportedly coming back!

The 54-year-old former undisputed champion will return to the ring on September 12th to face former 4 division champion Roy Jones, Jr in what is billed as the “Frontline Battle. The fight will be an 8-round exhibition match that will take place in California and will be simulcast on Pay-per-view and Social Media platform, Triller.  The 51-Year-old Jones is a former Heavyweight champion himself who last fought in 2018. Tyson hasn’t fought in a competitive match since 2005, a loss to journeyman Kevin McBride.

Tyson record is 50-6, 44 wins by knockout while Jones, Jr comes in with 66 wins and 9 losses. 47 of those wins by knockout. While this would have been a dream match in the ’90s or 2000s, it’s great to see both men healthy and back in the ring, in an exhibition nonetheless.

On Monday (Jul 20), Nicki Minaj took to Instagram to share the good news that she and husband, Kenneth Petty, are expecting their first child, Rocking a sparkling Lacey Dalimonte bra studded with baby-themed trinkets along with the caption, “Preggers.” The “Yikes” rapper posted a few photos of herself cradling her baby bump while clad in the bejeweled bra and see-through platform heels studded with pearls.

During an interview with Page Six, Delemonte reveals that she was contacted by Nicki’s camp a week ago to design the bra for the colorful shoot.

“I was visiting my family in Michigan and got an email from Nicki’s stylist, Aquiles. He was like, ‘Hey, I have this crazy project — want to try and make it work?,’” Dalimonte said. “He told me the exciting news — which obviously was hush-hush — and said that the concept was old-school Nicki, very Harajuku.”

While the deadline was tight, the recent fashion school graduate states that it was her desire to help make the soon-to-be mom’s photoshoot complete that led to her completing the complicated piece a day early. Overall she says the experience is truly rewarding.

“To make something a week ago and have it already be out is really exciting,” Dalimonte told us of her creation for the Grammy nominee. “This is my first major project, and it’s really rewarding — especially since it’s such a huge moment for her.”

While Minaj stuck to her script for the first shoot, for her second series of photos, she featured the iconic eye of high fashion photographer David La Chapelle, who captured the Young Money Queen in a “Virgin Mary” inspired photoshoot to help capture this magical moment in her life. Although there was no special caption that accompanied the post, the breathtaking photo does seem to speak for itself.

Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty tied the knot in October 2019, just one month after she announced on Twitter that she was retiring to “have my family.”

“I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now,” she wrote. “To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, in the box- cuz ain’t nobody checkin me. Love you for LIFE .”

As of press time, Nicki Minaj did not include her due date with the announcement.

Marlon Wayans is remembered his mother, Elvira Wayans, on their birthday (July 24) by sharing with social media that she has passed away.

In an Instagram post, he wrote, “Losing you shattered me into 1000 pieces. I’m putting myself back together piece by piece. You will always be my glue. Miss you. Today i celebrate for the both of. In the midst of this hurt… i just love you ma.”

Marlon and Ms. Elvira Wayans have the same July 23rd birthday. According to TMZ, Elvira died a couple of weeks ago, but Marlon waited until their birthday to share the news with his followers on Thursday. Elvira was 81 years old when she passed, according to TMZ.

Elvira was the mother to a generation of countless talents. Her kids include Keenan Ivory Wayans, Damon, Shawn, Marlon, Dwayne, Kim, Nadia, Elvira, Diedre and Vonnie. Vanilla Ice blazed the charts three decades ago with his massive hit “Ice Ice Baby” en route to becoming a Hip-Hop punchline in the 1990s. While the Dallas rapper has reinvented himself several times, a green light was given to go forward with a biopic titled To The Extreme, giving this generation a glimpse into the life.

To The Extreme was initially announced at the top of 2019, and The Wrap has confirmed that Dave Franco has landed the starring role of Robert Van Winkle, who becomes Vanilla Ice. The movie title shares the same as the title of Ice’s 1990 major studio debut which features the ubiquitous “Ice Ice Baby” and another mild hit in “Play That Funky Music.”

Franco, who is the brother of actor James Franco, is reportedly working alongside Vanilla Ice to prepare for the role. Some familiar with Ice’s story should know that a certain Death Row Records honcho crossed paths with him and many of his personal and legal troubles.

A date for the release of the film has not been set.

Donald Glover is making his return to the world of Star Wars.

On the most recent episode of the Kessel Run Transmissions YouTube show, which premiered on July 22, Corey Van Dyke reported that the actor will be reprising his role as Lando Calrissian in his very own series.

“So, we’ve heard that Donald Glover is coming back as Lando in his own series,” Van Dyke revealed.

The show’s other host, Noah Outlaw, was initially reluctant to break the news in case something happened that led to the show not going as planned, which would lead to people all over the internet getting mad at him.

“And that’s why we’ve kinda been hesitant because Donald is down, but also Donald Glover is very busy,” Outlaw said. “He’s Childish Gambino and all this stuff. And also, so they were kinda trying, they had to work with him. And we say this all the time on our show as a joke, that Brinks truck that they dumped on Donald Glover’s lawn to do this show was huge. So, but yeah, there it is. Cat’s out of the bag, I guess.”

If things go as planned, the series will be available for streaming on Disney+. The report has not been confirmed and no other details were offered regarding the series.

Donald Glover first starred as Lando Calrissian in the 2018 film Solo: A Star Wars Story. The movie grossed $213.8 million in the U.S. and Canada, making $170 million at the box office in its opening weekend alone.

Kanye West’s zany presidential campaign rally he held on Sunday (Jul.19) not only has reportedly landed him in hot water with his wife and her family but with the relatives of the iconic slave abolitionist, Harriet Tubman. During the sh*t show event, West inaccurately claimed that Tubman didn’t free the slaves.

“Harriet Tubman never actually freed the slaves, she just had the slaves go work for other white people.”

Tina Wyatt, Harriet Tubman’s great-niece, spoke with TMZ and said the rapper was “dead wrong” and pointed out if Tubman didn’t free slaves Kanye would still be on a plantation, wouldn’t be able to spew the nonsense he does freely and not be a billionaire rapper either.

Beyoncé has made more than a visual album, she made one of the Blackest films Disney+ has in their repertoire.

In two weeks, fans will finally get to see what Queen Bey’s new trailer teases for her forthcoming visual album Black Is King. Of course, Jay-Z with friends Naomi Campbell, Kelly Roland, and Lupita Nyong’o make an appearance on the project.

By the looks of the trailer, the big wigs at Disney spared no expense to ensure Bey’s project debuts like a blockbuster film. The story in Black Is King reimagines the lessons in the movie The Lion King, where she starred as Simba’s homie Nala in last year’s live-action remake. 

 Via NYPost:

“The voyages of Black families throughout time are honored in the tale about a young king’s transcendent journey through betrayal, love, and self-identity. His ancestors help guide him toward his destiny, and with his father’s teachings and guidance from his childhood love, he earns the virtues needed to reclaim his home and throne.”

The project features music from Bey’s The Lion King: The Gift album and will provide visual treatments for “Brown Skin Girl,” “My Power,” and “Mood 4 Eva.”

Bey can be heard on the voiceover saying, “Life is a set of choices. Lead, or be led astray. Follow your light, or lose it.”

Black Is King, which is written, executive produced and directed by Beyoncé, will debut globally July 31 on Disney+. Now might be a good time to splurge on that subscription.

Chris Rock decided to dig in his vault to drop some unreleased material that is both relevant and comedic.

On Monday (Jul 21), Chris Rock took to Instagram to share an unreleased 2003 parody video where he transposed his face on Andre 3000’s body for 3 Stacks iconic “Hey Ya” video. Rock’s version takes a serious but hilariously presented look at race, calling out social injustices at the time that are ironically still an issue today.

With the caption, “Crackers,” the Bigger and Blacker comedian dropped the song noting that it’s from “deep” within his comedic vault.

“Crackers. Here’s a deep cut from the vault.”

This isn’t the first time that Chris Rock has referenced his older material as a social “I told you so,” last week the comedy icon posted a snippet from his 2004 comedy special, Never Scared, where the comedian talked about the difference between being rich versus being wealthy, along with a caption pointing out his point on the subject to address the issue of keeping Black dollars inside the Black community.

“We got some rich ones, we don’t got no wealth,” Chris Rock wrote.

In other Chris Rock news, the comedian’s latest parental outing lead him to checking an item off of his bucket list, after the 55-year old and his daughter decided to get tattoos for the first time.

According to published reports, the Down to Earth actor got his first tattoo alongside one of his teenage daughters, according to an Instagram post from Bang Bang NYC on Wednesday (Jul 15).

The first image shows Rock wearing a black face mask and a white t-shirt as he shows off a simple tattoo of a Basquiat crown on his left shoulder, with the subsequent shot showing a tattoo of a dinosaur wearing a Basquiat crown on what appears to be his daughter’s back right shoulder blade.
