Chloë Grace Moretz Has Some More Stuff To Say About Kim Kardashian

Advertisement – Continue Reading Below

Okay, so really the strangest Kardashian-Jenner social media fight of 2016 was the back-and-forth between Kim and Bette Midler. But! A close second was Kim’s Twitter feud Chloë Moretz, over a naked selfie Kim had shared. If you’ll recall, Moretz chastised Kim for sharing a nude photo of herself on Twitter instead of teaching girls the importance of “setting goals,” and, taking no prisoners, Kim responded, “let’s all welcome @ChloeGMoretz to twitter, since no one knows who she is.”

(Moretz also got into it with Khloe Kardashian over Kim’s internet-breaking “Famous” Snapchats. Later in 2016, Moretz told The Hollywood Reporter she regretted giving the Kardashians her attention.)

Now, over a year later, Moretz revisits the feud in Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood issue, saying, “It’s sad for [Kim] to reach out like that to a young woman. There’s a lot of woman-on-woman hate.” (This is a textbook of example of how to make more beef out of what’s ostensibly a beef-squashing moment.)

On the flipside, Moretz, Variety explains, is all about “sisterhood.” Her fellow actress and good friend Zoey Deutch is quoted in the piece saying some nice things about her thusly: “I think there’s an assumption that all actresses are competitive, and maybe some are,” Deutch told Variety. “But Chloë is so supportive almost to a degree that’s unimaginable.”

Aside from the Kardashian drama, Moretz also told Variety about a time she was fat-shamed on the set of one of her movies by a male costar:

“This guy that was my love interest was like, ‘I’d never date you in real life,’ and I was like, ‘What?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah, you’re too big for me’—as in my size,” Moretz said. “It was one of the only actors that ever made me cry on set.” Although she didn’t reveal his identity, she said she was 15 at the time, and he was in his mid-20s.

Along with body-shaming, Moretz has also faced sexism in her industry. “Even if you’re being paid equally, it’s the little things, especially if the male lead is bigger than you,” she told Variety. “You aren’t listened to as much, and you take a backseat.” And on one occasion, she says she lost out on a movie role because the studio had already cast one blond actress, and felt they couldn’t have two. Umm… hair dye, people?! (And less sexist nonsense, please.)

Everyone Wanted Peter to Win The Bachelorette Because He Was Actually Normal

All of which makes sense, especially if you look at Bachelor(ette) proposals as being different to IRL proposals, which they are. A tallying of unions past clearly show that a Bach proposal doesn’t have a high conversion rate.

But Peter’s definition of “engagement” was arguably closer to how a non-Bachelor(ette) might define it: “My belief in engagement is that engagement is marriage,” he said. “I want to do it just as many times as I get married, which is hopefully once in my life. And I want to be truly certain that this is the person for me at that time, and for the rest of time.” This extremely sensible, not at all notable statement actually marked him as special on the show. For fans, it seemed like his normal-guy eyes saw the wizard pushing gears behind the curtain, and it felt as groundbreakingly honest as you can expect in this kind of faux-reality.

The Bachelorette

ABC

In last night’s finale, Rachel and Peter reunited on stage following footage of the tear-filled conversation that led to his dropping out of the competition. They traded emotional “I love yous” and finally accepted that they’d reached an impasse. Punters used to the narrative dodges of the show hoped there’d a be a double-switch later on, that the tension between the two would later be laughed off as a ruse. But, no: The two had parted ways, and the finale itself put a seal on it. “I think people saw a different side to him they still aren’t ready to accept,” Rachel told ET. “I mean, the man told me I was going to have a mediocre life if I wasn’t with him.” Not exactly the words of a prince.

As usual, there’s a caveat with any Bachelor franchise romances, especially after the behind-the-scenes, so-dramatic-they-must-be-true “revelations” of Lifetime drama UnREAL. Which were that any storyline we see on reality TV has been chopped and screwed, massaged into a form that feeds fairytale ideas of romance or, at the very least, fuels anticipation for the next season. As Rachel has reminded us since the finale aired, there’s probably a lot we didn’t see.

Peter Kraus Rachel Lindsay The Bachelorette

ABC

But with Peter, we loved everything we saw, from the loving uncle to the forthright suitor and, eventually, the man who cried in the aftermath of Rachel’s departure, uttering in anguish, “What’s wrong with me?” Right until the deflated end of the episode, when Bryan, the last man standing, proposed to Rachel, some of us really thought that the contestant we’d rooted for—been encouraged to root for—would prevail. That’s not to criticize Rachel’s choice or denigrate the relationships she had with both finalists. Rather, it’s to recognize that the inherent friction between Peter’s worldview and the Bachelorette worldview threw up too many sparks for a happy ending—but we went along for the ride, anyway.

Some have pointed out that his likeability, fan base, and relatably bumpy romantic journey have made Peter a prime candidate for Bachelor-dom. (Rachel herself does not agree.) In which case, despite his protests, he had us fooled. Perhaps he isn’t really a Regular Joe avatar, fumbling his way through an incredibly strange experience with understandable agita. Maybe he wasn’t actually the simple, straightforward—idealized—guy that pretty much anyone could fall for. But we still did love him. And that might be because he peeled back the curtain just enough to make us feel like we were in on it this time.

Kendall Jenner Hits Back At Claims She Failed To Tip A Bartender On A Night Out

Earlier this week, Kendall Jenner faced the wrath of social media after a bartender posted a photo of what they claimed to be the model’s receipt to Instagram, revealing that $24 that had been charged to her card, but that the 21-year-old model failed to give a tip.

The Brooklyn bar Baby’s All Right employee captioned the Instagram photo (which has since been deleted from the bar’s account) of the receipt with the caption: “Don’t forget to tip your bartender :)” This provoked social media users to send a barrage of comments to Kendall, some calling the reality star “cheap.”

“100% FACT. I was a bartender and we lived off of tips. Come on now,” wrote one user, while others pointed out that it was wrong for the bartender to post the image, claiming, “whoever posted this should get fired it’s unprofessional.”

In response of the bartender’s claim that she failed to leave gratuity, Kendall fired back on Twitter writing: “Damn, I guess next time we won’t tip in cash.”

The Keeping Up With The Kardashian star’s tweet came in response to a message posted by a fan of the Victoria’s Secret model to Twitter, which read: “I love @KendallJenner I’m sure there’s more to this story. Everyone’s so quick to judge cause she’s part of the Kardashians.”

The Royal Family of Spain Is Giving William & Kate Some Style Competition

Advertisement – Continue Reading Below

When it comes to royal family style, the British royals are typically the first to come to mind. But Queen Letizia and King Felipe of Spain are giving the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge some serious style competition.

Over the weekend, the Spanish royal family had a very well-dressed (and well-coordinated) outing while vacationing in Palma de Mallorca, Spain together. Queen Letizia and King Felipe brought their daughters, Princess Sofia and Princess Leonor, on a visit to the Can Prunera Museum in coordinating summer looks. Opting for a shift dress, studded sandals, and a straw tote, Queen Letizia went for an all-white color palette. King Felipe, meanwhile, went for an all-blue ensemble and meeting them both in the middle, Sofia and Leonor wore white and blue striped dresses.

Have you ever seen a family match so well without looking like a cheesy holiday card? The royal family of Spain has officially achieved the impossible.

Your move, William and Kate.

Here's Every Word Sansa and Arya Said to Each Other When They Reunited

Warning: This post contains spoilers for Game of Thrones season 7, episode 4.

One of the most hoped-for Game of Thrones reunions happened tonight. After many, many years apart, Arya Stark finally returned to Winterfell, where her sister Sansa was holding the fort.

When Arya arrived, she had trouble with some skeptical guards, who didn’t believe she really was the youngest Stark girl. But she suggested they let her in—because they’d be in a world of trouble if it became known that they’d turned her away—and gained entry to her childhood home. It was a moving, sad moment, as she realized that Winterfell had changed, almost as much as she had.

Game of Thrones Arya and Sansa Stark

HBO/Helen Sloan

Arya quickly escaped the guards, who had to shamefacedly tell their lady about the girl who’d gotten away from them. But because Arya had mentioned Maester Luwin, who’d previously served the Starks, Sansa knew that it truly was her little sister who had returned. Immediately, she made her way down to the crypt, where she knew Arya would go.

Needless to say, their reunion was more satisfying than Sansa and Bran’s reunion, which had both Sansa and viewers confused thanks to Bran’s odd behavior. Arya and Sansa’s reunion was exquisite: tentative and loving, underlined by a strong sense that much was going unsaid.

Here’s everything that the sisters said to each other when they met for the first time in years.

Arya and Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones

HBO/Helen Sloan

Arya: Do I have to call you Lady Stark now?

Sansa: Yes. You shouldn’t have run from the guards.

Arya: I didn’t run. You need better guards. It suits you—Lady Stark. Jon left you in charge.

Sansa: He did. I hope he comes back soon. I remember how happy he was to see me, and when he sees you his heart will probably stop.

Arya: [Looking at statue of Ned Stark] It doesn’t look like him. Should have been carved by someone who knew his face.

Sansa: Everyone who knows his face is dead.

Arya: We’re not. They say you killed Joffrey. Did you?

Sansa: Wish I had.

Arya: Me too. I was so angry when I heard someone else had done it. However long my list got, he was always first.

Sansa: Your list?

Arya: Of people I’m going to kill.

Sansa: How did you get back to Winterfell?

Arya: It’s a long story. I imagine yours is, too.

Sansa: Yes. and not a very pleasant one.

Arya: Mine either. But our stories aren’t over yet.

Sansa: No, they’re not. Arya, Bran’s home too.

This Game of Thrones Episode Recap Is Practically All in Capital Letters

Varys and Tyrion arrive with their bad news about Casterly Rock. Tyrion feels that it’s time to put King’s Landing under siege; Dany wants to take the dragons and torch the Red Keep. She asks Jon for advice, and he tells her that using the dragons to melt cities will bum everyone out, and if she does that, people won’t see her new and good and different. I guess?

Game of Thrones Brienne and Arya

‘Wow, so I guess you didn’t really need me to protect you, then. That’s fine.’

HBO

Back at Winterfell, Brienne is still trying to teach Podrick to fight, bless her. Arya decides she wants to train with her and it’s buckets of fun, very EXCITING, and really enjoyable to watch. Everyone who is paid to do fight choreography earns their bonus in spades. We even get a delightful little “no one” reference when Brienne asks Arya who taught her to fight like that.

Theon pulls ashore (OH, HE HAS NOT SEEN JON IN A WHILE, HUH?) and it’s awkward! “Uh…oh, hi Jon…I didn’t know you were here. How’s Sansa?” Jon informs him that helping Sansa is the only reason he’s not killing him (listen, don’t let that hold you back, guy.) He also tells him that the Queen is gone. Sorry!

‘You have GOT to see this dragon.’

HBO

Cut to Jaime and Bronn and the Lannister/Tarly forces on the outskirts of King’s Landing, getting the last of the wagons of gold into the city.

I BET DANY TOOK THE DRAGONS THERE TO MESS THEM UP PLEASE BE TAKING THE DRAGONS TO MESS THEM UP.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. But, also: ALL THE DOTHRAKI AND THEIR DOUBLE-SCYTHE WIELDING, BALANCING-ON-A-GALLOPING-HORSE FIGHTING. It’s amazing.

Drogon FUCKS THEM UP THEY BURN IT’S GLORIOUS!!!!!! THE DOTHRAKI ARE JUST RIDING THROUGH THE FLAMES LIKE THEY DON’T CARE! It’s basically the fight from Anchorman.

Anchorman fight

GIPHY

Jaime and Bronn are standing around like…Gee, this isn’t great, this is not the best. Well observed! People are on FIRE. This is what it looks like when Jaime Lannister discovers that War Is Hell. Bronn swords and spears his way to the big dragon-killing thing. He misses with his first shot, but gets Drogon with his second, wounding a VERY irritated dragon. Qyburn’s weapon works, I guess. As Dany yanks the arrow from her dragon’s shoulder, Jaime steels himself. He’s going to try to take Dany out (Tyrion is watching, aghast at his brother’s noble stupidity) and is JUST ABOUT TO BECOME A HUMAN BLOWTORCH when Bronn pushes him out of the way.

Is he dead? IS HE? COME ON IS HE DEAD OR NOT.

Uhhh. I guess we’ll find out next week what happened? I need to lie down with a cool compress.

All The Times Barack Obama Lived His Best Life Since Leaving The White House

It’s now been around eight months since the 44th president left the Oval office and Donald Trump was sworn in. For those who miss Obama being the serving president, both at home and abroad, it also comes with the bittersweet knowledge that in 2017, no matter how much we miss him, he is fully living his best life.

Here’s to you B.O., with a run down of everything you’ve been doing since that inauguration.

When he fled Washington for Palm Springs

Almost immediately after leaving Washington DC via helicopter, the Obamas made their way to Palm Springs, California to chill in the pad of dreams.

A post shared by Michael S Smith (@michaelsmithinc) on

According to People, the 11,000-square-foot property has panoramic views of Palm Springs valley, a beautiful pool and is near golf courses.

When he kite surfed with Richard Branson

Just one month later, he was off again, this time to Necker Island – the tropical haven in the British Virgin Islands owned by billionaire businessman Sir Richard Branson.

Writing on his blog, Branson said how after inviting Barack and Michelle to Necker, the former President learned to kitesurf. Serial adventurer Branson then challenged Obama to see who could stay up the longest. Obama could, classic.

When he stayed on Marlin Brando’s private tropical island

Another month, another holiday. Palm Springs, Necker Island and even a reported stop in his native Hawaii, the next stop for Barack was the tropical islands in French Polynesia. Obama settled on the private island of Tetiaroa, once owned by legendary film director Marlon Brando. Fancy.

When he went white water rafting

After whetting his appetite for water sports, Barack, Michelle, Malia and Sasha headed to Indonesia for another trip in June where they went white water rafting. We can’t quite tell from the pictures how much Barack enjoyed this, but Sasha definitely did. For a more chill part of the holiday, the family paid a visit to the beautiful rice fields of Bali.

When he stopped at Starbucks and was mobbed

When Obama – and a heavy security detail – stopped for a Starbucks in February in Manhattan (we’re thinking he ordered a caramel latte) there was a screaming crowd loud enough to rival a Justin Bieber concert. The former president did the classic playing-it-cool wave, but we like to think that deep down he was just a little smug that those further down Fifth Avenue at Trump Tower were very aware of the commotion.
