Steve Kerr expects Steph Curry to play in Game 4

After missing the last two games nursing the ankle injury he suffered in Game 1 of the opening round series against the Houston Rockets, the team has listed Curry as “probable” for Game 4 on Sunday. The Warriors and Rockets split the two games Curry was out, and Golden State leads the series 2-1.

Rockets CEO Tad Brown went after Barkley, who accused Houston of “fake hustle” during the Game 3 telecast on Thursday night. Along with that is I think I could play through a little bit of discomfort or whatnot especially in a playoff kind of a situation. Everybody has something they’re dealing with in some way, shape or form.

“I’m sure coach and the athletic training staff are on similar wavelengths of being more on the cautions side, obviously”, Curry said. “It’s stable. There’s no swelling or anything, so I can do everything I need to do”.

The Rockets trailed by a point when Harden dribbled down the court and pushed Iguodala before stepping back for the shot with 2.7 seconds left.

Kerr said he expected to monitor Curry’s minutes given that his conditioning level had changed after having gone eight days between games. “Steph doesn’t generally take too long to get his rhythm back, so I think he’ll be fine. Yeah, it worked, so I’m going to keep watching my UFC”.

Curry was so convinced he could play in Game 3 that he didn’t bring a suit to wear on the sideline and was therefore unable to watch the game from the bench.

You’ve kind of got to force yourself (into playing freely) at this point”, Curry continued. “I got the privilege to meet him and to shake his hand is a treat”. “I feel like I can do that in this setting, and hopefully that translates to a clear mind and confidence in myself tomorrow”.
