The description appears to be a reference to the Lemonade track “Sorry“, a song about a husband’s affairs and an ensuing confrontation and rebuttal, to which names a woman named “Becky with the good hair“.
WHAT DO YOU THINK about all the Rachel Roy speculation? Roy, of course, was the woman at the center of Jay Z’s infamous fight with Solange Knowles back in 2014.
Check the post in question, and the vitriol, below and on the following pages.
Roy is the ex-wife of music producer Damon Dash, who was Jay Z’s business partner until the pair fell out, and she has been linked to cheating rumors surrounding the rapper before.
The comments were duly invaded by die-hard Beyoncé fans and Roy has since set her account to private.
One anonymous source told Hollywood Life: “Solange was defending Beyoncé in the elevator because Solange finds Jay’s friendship with Rachel to be way too close for comfort and it makes Solange very uncomfortable”.
Lemonade, which debuted on HBO Saturday night, included several songs about a woman cheating. Posting a hazy photo of herself and a girlfriend smiling and laughing while holding up a light, the fashion designer – not to be confused with Rachael Ray, the Food Network star and TV personality – wrote in her caption, “Good hair don’t care, but we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truths, always. live in the light #nodramaqueens“.
We doubt Beyonce is going to say anything on this one.
I respect love, marriages, families and strength. Rest in peace my true love, who I took for granted. Her heaven will be a love without betrayal.
“Ashes to ashes, dust to side-chicks”, as Beyonce would say.
But toward the end of Lemonade, Beyoncé sings about forgiveness during the track “Sandcastles”. So when Beyonce first brought up “Becky”, she said the girl’s got “good hair“.
