That rap routine poking fun at that infamous scene from “The Revenant” involving Leonardo DiCaprio was not only a highlight, but amusing as hell.

Her co-star Adam Driver was voted Best Villain.

The pair opened the show with an outrageous Mad Max: Fury Road homage, entering the Warner Bros. backlot on an outsized battle rig and surrounded by a horde of War Boys.

Queen Latifah and Halle Berry were there to present him with the honor, the latter of whom praised him for being a “champion for diversity in Hollywood”.

“Wow, man – I thought that was code for the ‘Old A- Dude Award, ‘” Smith joked during his acceptance. He continued with a nod to his headliners, “I mean, The Lonely Island said it, parents just don’t understand, and I’m sitting with my kids sometimes like, I don’t get it!”

Right before Ryan Reynolds accepted his Best Comedic Performance award for Deadpool at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards, Sunday, April 10 (Monday, April 11 in Manila), the most bonkers thing happened.

Bridesmaids star Melissa McCarthy received the comedic genius award and said although she was the first woman to achieve the feat, she was “certainly not the first one to deserve it”. Reynolds also picked up the award of Best Fight for his battle against Ajax (Ed Skrein) in Deadpool.

The couple married in 2012, and have one-year-old daughter, James. I want to thank my wife, Blake.

Straight Outta Compton” did win the trophy for Best True Story, however.

The MTV Movie Awards serves as a marketing platform for summer movies. “I’m dedicated until I die to light and love”. This year’s premiere was simulcast across nine Viacom networks – MTV, Comedy Central, VH1, BET, MTV2, CMT, TV Land, VH1 Classic and Logo – five more than the 2015 show.
