American depositary receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.99% higher at 180.06 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Friday.
In North Asia, the gainers were led by educational services provider TAL Education ( TAL ), and real estate developer Xinyuan Real Estate ( XIN ), which rose 7.1% and 6.3% respectively. They were followed by Baozun ( BZUN ), a brand e-commerce solutions company, and commercial real estate company China Techfaith Wireless Communication ( CNTF ), which were up 4.8% and 2.4%.
The decliners in North Asia were led by Woori Bank ( WF ), and online direct sales provider LexinFintech (LX), which lost 3.6% and 3.4% respectively. They were followed by telecommunications provider China Telecom (CHA), and outdoor advertising company Airmedia (AMCN), which dropped 3.3% and 2.8%.
In South Asia, the gainers were led by natural resources company Vedanta (VEDL), and digital entertainment company Sea Limited (SE), which rose 3.6% and 3.3% respectively. They were followed by IT services firm Wipro (WIT), and pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (RDY), which were up 2.55% 1.84%
The only decliners in South Asia were IT firm SIFY Technologies (SIFY), and automaker Tata Motors (TTM), which fell 1.4% and 0.3% respectively.
